Saving the World: Hasek will be making his fourth straight All-Star appearance AP

NEW YORK (AP) -- Buffalo Sabres goaltender Dominik Hasek will make his second straight start for the World team in this year's NHL All-Star Game.

Hasek, the league's player of the year the last two seasons, led all World All-Star vote-getters for the Jan. 24 game at the Ice Palace in Tampa, Florida.

He finished with 409,024 votes while Czech Republic countryman Jaromir Jagr had 395,683.

Jagr, along with Colorado's Peter Forsberg and Anaheim's Teemu Selanne, also will be making their second consecutive starts.

The remaining starters for the World team will be Detroit defensemen Nicklas Lidstrom and Uwe Krupp.

The reserves for the World All-Stars will be announced Monday.

Results of final balloting for the North America All-Stars will be released Thursday.

The top NHL players representing Canada and the United States will comprise the North America All-Stars. The rest of the world will make up the World All-Stars.
