NASHVILLE, Tennessee (Ticker) -- It was a case of good news and bad news for Nashville Predators defenseman Kimmo Timonen.

On the day Timonen learned he made the World team for next month's NHL All-Star Game, he learned he will be sidelined up to six weeks with a broken right wrist.

Timonen, 24, fractured the radius bone in his wrist in Tuesday's 4-2 loss at Colorado.

The 5-9, 180-pound Finn is tied for eighth among NHL defensemen with 27 points on seven goals and 20 assists in 39 games. He is second on the Predators in scoring.
