Islanders make DiPietro first goalie ever selected No. 1
New York Islanders general manager Mike Milbury promised he'd be busy at the NHL draft on Saturday. He kept his promise. The Islanders traded with the Tampa Bay Lightning to grab the fifth overall pick, then minutes later selected Boston University's Rick DiPietro, the top-rated North American goaltending prospect available, No. 1.
