DALLAS (AP) -- After a bruising Western Conference Finals opener against the Colorado Avalanche, the Stars will be without rookie left wing Brenden Morrow.

Morrow, who left the ice during the last two minutes of Dallas' 2-0 loss to the Avs on Saturday, will be out for the remainder of the playoffs with a broken right ankle, Stars coach Ken Hitchcock said.

Hitchcock said he was unsure who would replace Morrow for Game 2 Monday.

Morrow, like the rest of the Stars had a rough game. He got two penalties in the first period, each shortly after Colorado penalties gave the Stars a power-play opportunities.

His third of the night, an obstruction penalty at 10:03 for running into goaltender Patrick Roy, came as the Stars were attempting a comeback.

Morrow had 14 goals and 19 assists during the regular season and 2 goals and 4 assists in the playoffs.
