Flyers' Langkow returns for Game 5 Posted: Monday May 22, 2000 10:56 PM
PHILADELPHIA (AP) -- Philadelphia Flyers forward Daymond Langkow returned for Game 5 of the Eastern Conference finals against New Jersey on Monday night after sitting out two games with a concussion. The center, who had not missed a game since being acquired by the Flyers in December 1998, was hurt in a collision with Devils defenseman Scott Stevens about a minute after scoring the winning goal in Philadelphia's 4-3 victory in Game 2. "There are no symptoms at all," Langkow said Monday after the morning skate. "I missed a couple of games but I don't think it will take too much to get back in there." Langkow, who has five goals in the playoffs, played in 138 consecutive regular-season games and 19 playoff games before the injury. He was back in the starting lineup on the Flyers' top line Monday between John LeClair and Mark Recchi and recorded Philadelphia's first shot on goal. The Devils won, 4-1.
