SALT LAKE CITY (AP) -- The Dallas Stars have signed a two-year affiliation agreement that makes the Utah Grizzlies of the IHL their top minor-league team. "It gives our organization a chance to work with a first-class NHL team," said Grizzlies general manager and coach Bob Bourne. Under the deal announced Monday, the Stars will provide Utah with 10 skaters and two goaltenders. The affiliation begins next season. The Grizzlies have been an independent for two seasons. Before that, Utah was affiliated with the New York Islanders and had a working agreement with the Los Angeles Kings. For the past 13 seasons, the Dallas-Minnesota franchise had its top minor-league team in Kalamazoo, Mich.
