Stars crush Sharks, make third straight trip to West finals
The Stars are on a roll in Reunion. Joe Nieuwendyk got the Dallas offense going with an early goal and Scott Thornton added a goal and two assists lifting the Stars over the Sharks 4-1 Sunday night for their eighth straight home-playoff victory. The defending Stanley Cup champions are now set to face the Avalanche in the Western Conference Finals for the second straight season.
