JAMES NORRIS MEMORIAL TROPHY
Awarded annually to the defense player who demonstrates throughout the season the greatest all-around ability in the position. James Norris was the former owner-president of the Detroit Red Wings. Bobby Orr holds the record for most consecutive times winning the award (eight, 1968-1975).
