Born in the '60s If there's a fine line between age and experience, the Red Wings have marched it -- walkers and all -- straight through the Stanley Cup finals. Detroit took care of Carolina in five games, and why not? The Wings' roster brims with future Hall of Fame scorers, a couple Norris Trophy winners and a goaltender who has more Vezina Trophies than most people have shoes. But you don't just wake up one day with 600 goals or 60 shutouts, not to mention another Cup, so we're turning back the clock on a few of the team's eldest elder statesmen. The youngest Wing you'll see here is Brendan Shanahan, born in 1969 (the oldest player on our board, Igor Larionov, has eight years on him).
