NEW YORK (Ticker) -- Pittsburgh Penguins right wing Jaromir Jagr, who learned earlier in the day he may get to play again with the legendary Mario Lemieux, is the leading vote-getter for the NHL's World All-Star team in balloting released Thursday.

The three-time defending scoring champion, Jagr has received 90,212 votes, nearly double the total of the next forward, Florida Panthers right wing Pavel Bure.

The MVP of this past year's All-Star Game in Toronto, Bure claimed 47,650 votes. Teemu Selanne of the Mighty Ducks of Anaheim is third among wings with 41,002 votes.

Defenseman Nicklas Lidstrom of the Detroit Red Wings is second overall with 70,020 votes. Sandis Ozolinsh of the Colorado Avalanche is second among defensemen with 46,542 votes, barely ahead of Sergei Zubov of the Dallas Stars with 44,266 votes.

Five-time Vezina Trophy winner Dominik Hasek of the Buffalo Sabres leads all goaltenders with 68,524 votes. Tommy Salo of the Edmonton Oilers is second among goalies with 41,975 votes.

Peter Forsberg of the Colorado Avalanche tops centers with 62,711 votes, more than double the total of Sergei Fedorov of the Detroit Red Wings with 29,910 votes.

The center, top two wingers, top two defensemen and goaltender who receive the most votes through January 12 will start in the 51st annual NHL All-Star Game on February 4 in Denver.

This is the fourth straight year in which the NHL is using the World-North American format.
