Jeff Pearlman joined the staff of Sports Illustrated as a reporter in December 1996. He is now a senior writer and primarily covers baseball for the magazine. He is also a regular contributor to SI.com. Before arriving at SI, Pearlman spent three years in Nashville where he covered high school sports for The Tennessean. He also contributed features on music and food to the paper's living section.
A 1994 graduate of the University of Delaware with a degree in history, Pearlman was the editor of the school newspaper, The Review. Born and raised in Mahopac, N.Y., Pearlman now lives in Manhattan with his wife Catherine. In his spare time, he claims to enjoy juggling, playing the french horn and deer hunting.
