Former NY Jets Personnel Director Pat Kirwan serves as an NFL Insider for CNN/Sports Illustrated. He provides NFL information, contributes ‘NFL Insider’ segments and offers commentary to the network and Web site, CNNSI.com.
Kirwan spent eight years (1989 to ’97) with the NY Jets, most recently as the director of player administration and before that as the assistant pro personnel director and defensive assistant. His duties with the Jets included negotiating player contracts and maintaining records for salary cap purposes. Kirwan worked as an area scout with the Phoenix Cardinals in 1989 and for the Tampa Bay Buccaneers from 1983 to ’86.
Kirwan received his bachelor’s degree from Manhattan College. He also obtained a masters in physical education from Adelphi and a masters in administration from Hofstra.
