Stephen Cannella
Stephen Cannella is a staff writer at Sports Illustrated. Since joining SI in 1995 he has covered baseball, hockey and a variety of subjects for the magazine's Scorecard section. He writes SI's weekly Inside Baseball column and is a regular contributor to SI.com. Cannella grew up in New Britain, Conn., and is a 1995 graduate of Boston College, where he majored in English and math. He considers his piece on David Cone's 1999 perfect game his most memorable story. He currently resides in Manhattan, where his hobbies include reading and playing the guitar.
