  Ernie Johnson In the House

What a way to tip off our December schedule!

We're playing two on TBS Tuesday night, with the Spurs and Kings (both 10-4 in November -- the second-best record in the West), followed by the Sixers (best record in the NBA at 12-2 in November) and Lakers (reigning NBA champions).

That first game features the Chris Webber-Tim Duncan duel. When they met last week, Webber had 25 points and 17 rebounds while Duncan went for 22 and 13. San Antonio won by three in a game that went down to the last possession.

Allen Iverson, Shaquille O'Neal and Kobe Bryant will share the spotlight in the Tuesday nightcap on TBS. The Lakers will face shot-blocking force Theo Ratliff, who had the league's season high of nine swats against the Wizards last week. An NBA Finals preview perhaps?

There's good news and bad news on Wednesday night on TNT. The good is that you'll see the league's biggest surprise. Andre Miller's one of the best point guards in the business. The bad news is that they're playing the Bulls.

And we'll wind things up Thursday on TNT as the Knicks and Spurs meet in San Antonio. It's your weekly "Knicks fix," as their streak of TBS/TNT appearances reaches six.

And along the way, you'll be treated to the one-of-a-kind insights of Kenny "The Jet" Smith, Peter Vecsey and Charles Barkley.

Barkley's take on the steroid suspension of Miami's Don MacLean last week: "I played with him in Houston last year. I've seen him naked. ... He can't be using steroids."

Thanks, Chuck.

Ernie Johnson is in his 11th year as the studio host for TNT and TBS Superstation's NBA telecasts, as well as TNT's live coverage of the NBA Draft every June.
