Sports Illustrated's Jon Wertheim takes a weekly look at who's hot and who's not in the tennis world.

AD IN

Pat Rafter: Serves notice that he may be back from shoulder injury by winning Heineken Trophy.

Sebastien Grosjean: Beats Byron Black to win Nottingham tuneup.

Julie Halard-Decugis: Wimbledon dark horse beats resurgent Dominique Van Roost to take Eastbourne title.

Alex Corretja and Albert Costa: Unhappy with seeding procedure, the Spanish duo pulls out of Wimbledon. Agree or disagree, you have to respect their conviction.

Anna Kournikova: For serving up the line of the year. At a press conference to promote the undergarments she's endorsing, Kournikova was asked about the status of her love life. "I'm not here to talk about my personal life," she responded, without a trace of irony. "I'm here to talk about bras."

AD OUT

Tim Henman: Suffers two desultory losses on grass before the tournament where he usually makes his pay.

Lindsay Davenport: Loses to Dominique Van Roost for second time in a month, boding ill for a Wimbledon repeat (and threatening to make a mockery of prognosticators).

Mary Pierce: Bemoans Wimbledon's inhumanity since the tournament doesn't always reimburse players for cab fares. One would think that with her French Open lucre alone, she could even spring for the tip without falling into poverty.

Pete Sampras: Calls a halt to weekend hitting session with Tim Henman with he feels a tingle in his back. That ever happen in Last Action Hero?

Marcelo Rios: As expected, pulls out of Wimbledon with a nagging leg injury.

Say, didn't you used to be Arnon Milchan?
