Don't blink ... this might be quick Posted: Friday January 28, 2000 06:39 PM
Mike Tyson needs to scrape away more layers of ring rust and the best way to do it is to get into a battle with a quality opponent. British heavyweight Julius Francis doesn't fit the description. He's bigger than Tyson but his punch, hand and foot speed are light years below Tyson's. It translates into fatal problems for Francis. He's too slow and he doesn't have the power or the quickness to frustrate or discourage Tyson let alone get his respect.
Translation: this fight will be over the first time Tyson hits Francis flush. Tyson needs the rounds but even more so, he needs to win dynamically and that means he needs to win within the first two or three rounds.
