Bill Eppridge poses while attending Photo LA's 22nd Annual Photographic Art Exposition at Santa Monica Civic Auditorium on Jan. 17, 2013.

A legendary photojournalist who spent most of his career working for Life magazine and Sports Illustrated, Eppridge died on Oct. 3, 2013. He was 75. Although Eppridge is perhaps most famously known for photographing the death of Sen. Robert F. Kennedy at the Ambassador Hotel in Los Angeles in 1968, he also shot a variety of athletes and sports moments throughout his storied career. Here are just some of those photos.
