June 4 — MLB preparing suspensions for players with ties to Biogenesis
ESPN broke the story that MLB was preparing to suspend up to 20 players, including Alex Rodriguez and Ryan Braun, for connections to a South Florida clinic which reportedly provided them with performance-enhancing drugs. MLB got a break in its investigation after Tony Bosch, founder of the now defunct Biogenesis of America clinic, agreed to cooperate.
