Sports Illustrated senior writer William Nack's four horses to watch during Saturday's Preakness.

Worldly Manner: The Derby sharpened him mentally and it brought him forward. He doesn't have to improve a lot off his Derby performance, in which he tired in the stretch. He was tied for the lead at the top of the stretch and he tired. He finished seventh, but he was only four lengths from the lead.

Cat Thief: Box him in exactas with Excellent Meeting and Worldly Manner. Cat Thief is always there. He always fires and he looks terrific, as does the Derby winner, Charismatic.

Excellent Meeting: A horrible trip in the Derby, yet she was only beaten by 2 1/4 lengths.

Patience Game (longshot): He ran a sharp race in the Derby Trial, which he won. He's a very well bred horse and he's in good hands with trainer Alex Hassinger. He trained brilliantly at Churchill in his last workout, going five furlongs in 58 3/5 seconds. I can't remember a time under 59.
