Russia's Ejova wins bars, beam

NAGOYA, Japan (AP) -- Russia's Lioudmila Ejova won the bars and balance beam while Romania's Andreea Raducan finished first on the vault in the women's events of the Chunichi Cup International gymnastic competition Sunday.

Ejova, who finished second in Saturday's all-around individual event, took the bars with 9.625 points and the balance beam with 9.750. She was fifth on the beam at the 2000 Sydney Olympics.

Raducan, 18, who was stripped of Olympic all-around gold in a drug scandal last year, was best on the vault with 9.275 and finished second in the balance beam with 9.675.

Ukraine's Tetyana Yarosh, who won Saturday's all-around women's individual event, captured the floor exercises with 9.425 points.

In the men's competition, Japan's Hiroyuki Tomita won the rings with 9.700 and the parallel bars with 9.750.

Russia's Iouri Tikhonovski took the title in the floor exercises with 9.525, China's Yufu Lu finished first on the pommel horse with 9.675 and Yang Tae-young of South Korea captured the vaulting horse with 9.387.

Brett McClure of the United States finished fourth in the pommel horse event with 9.425.

Participating in the two-day event were seven women from Russia, Romania, Ukraine and Japan and 13 men from China, South Korea, Russia, the United States and Japan.
