BOISE, Idaho (AP) -- Authorities in Idaho have arrested a Boise man accused of stealing 13 bikes from a professional women's cycling team as it was planning to race in a competition last month.

Michael Anthony Lawrence was arrested Thursday by officers who say they caught the 19-year-old stealing car tires.

Police say Lawrence cut the lock on California-based Team TIBCO's trailer at a Boise motel May 22 and stole the bikes that are worth $110,000.

Despite fears the team would be without bikes for the Exergy Tour two days later, they were all recovered ahead of the starting gun.

Officers say they'd been investigating Lawrence before the bike heists and a search of Lawrence's Boise home recovered additional stolen goods he was reselling over the Internet.
