OBERHOF, Germany (AP) -- Vita Semerenko powered through rain and fog to anchor Ukraine to an overwhelming victory in a women's biathlon World Cup relay on Thursday.

Semerenko shot perfectly and raced fast in the deteriorating conditions to win by 45.9 seconds over France, anchored by Marie Dorine Habert.

Germany was third in the 4x6-kilometer race, 1 minute, 47.3 seconds behind Ukraine. Germany's Tina Bachmann fell in the first leg and Miriam Goessner had two penalty laps in the second, ending the home team's hopes of victory.
