Russia's Olga Fatkulina was third, 0.45 behind Bowe's time of 1 minute, 15.34 seconds to win the women's 1,000 meter race.
Heather Richardson of the U.S. still leads the overall standings with 501 points, despite finishing 12th. Czech skater Karolina Erbanova is second with 429 and Bowe has 390.
Jan Smeekens neared the men's overall title with a win in the 500, clocking 34.96 seconds to beat Japan's Joji Kato by 0.09 seconds. Another Dutchman, Ronald Mulder, finished 0.32 seconds back to recreate Saturday's podium placements.
OSLO, Nowray (AP) -- Tora Berger of Norway won her third straight biathlon World Cup race Sunday, overcoming two penalties to take the women's 12.5 kilometer mass start.
Her time of 36 minutes, 58.8 seconds beat Anastasiya Kuzmina of Slovakia by 5.4 seconds. Darya Domracheva of Belarus was third, 23.3 seconds back.
Berger, who won four gold medals and a silver at the world championships last month, leads the World Cup standings with 1,069 points. Domracheva is second on 748 and Germany's Andrea Henkel third with 699.
MORA, Sweden (AP) -- Norway's Jorgen Aukland and Laila Kveli won the 56-mile Vasaloppet cross-country ski marathon on Sunday.
Aukland outsprinted Swede Daniel Tynell and his brother on the finishing stretch to win his second Vasaloppet title in 3 hours and 50.48 minutes. Tynell was second, 2 seconds behind and Anders Aukland third, 3 seconds back.
Kveli won the women's race in 04:22.22, ahead of Switzerland's Seraina Boner and Sweden's Sandra Hansson.
The competition is one of the world's oldest cross-country races and is based on Gustav Vasa's attempt to gather peasants for a 1522 revolt against occupying Danes. Vasa fled after failing to gain support, but the Mora locals changed their minds and sent their best skiers to bring him back. The Vasaloppet follows the same course from Salen to Mora.
