TOKYO (AP) -- Hawaii-born ozeki (champion) Musashimaru sent out lower-ranked Aogiyama and kept a three-way lead on Wednesday with four days left in the 15-day Summer Grand Sumo Tournament. Tied with Musashimaru, or Fiamalu Penitani, at 9-2 are No. 8 maegashira (senior wrestler) Toki and No. 10 maegashira Wakanosato. Yokozuna (grand champion) Akebono, or Chad Rowan from Hawaii, stayed one victory behind the three leaders at 8-3 along with three other wrestlers -- ozeki Takanonami and sekiwakes (junior champions) Kaio and Dejima. Wrestling at Tokyo's Ryogoku Kokugikan Sumo Arena, Musashimaru charged No. 4 maegashira Aogiyama with hand thrusts against his foe's face and sent him out from behind, leaving Aogiyama at 5-6. In the day's final bout, No. 4 maegashira Kyokushuzan, or Mongolian Batvayar Davaa, sidestepped to the right in the initial charge, but Akebono, or Chad Rowan from Hawaii, wasn't fooled. He fought off and tossed him down, leaving Kyokushuzan at 4-7. Toki charged No. 13 maegashira Hamanoshima with a series of hand thrusts against his foe's throat and sent him out, leaving Hamanoshima at 6-5. Wakanosato pulled down No. 3 maegashira Kotonishiki by turning around the ring, handing Kotonishiki his fourth defeat against seven victories. In other major bouts, ozeki Takanonami clamped No. 5 maegashira Tochinowaka's arms from outside and sent him out and Kaio toppled No. 2 maegashira Tochinonawa with an arm throw. Tochinowaka is 4-7 and Tochinonada 3-8. Dejima sidestepped to left and slapped down komusubi (junior champion second class) Takatoriki (1-10). No. 7 maegashira Higonoumi twisted down No. 14 maegashira Kyokutenho, or Mongolian Tsevegnyam Nyamjav, leaving both wrestlers at 7-4. In juryo division matches, just below the senior makuuchi division, No. 7 ranked Hoshitango, or Argentine Imach Marcelo Salomon, thrust out No. 1-ranked Mitoizumi (2-9) for his fifth victory against six defeats. In makushita, the top junior division, No. 16-ranked Hoshiandesu (1-5), or Argentine Jose Antonio Juarez, threw down No. 20-ranked Tsurusaki. In sandanme, the second highest junior division, No. 2-ranked Kyokutenzan (5-1), or Mongolian Enkhbat Batmunkha, sent out No. 10-ranked Raiko. No. 32-ranked Kuniazuma (5-1), or Brazilian Vander Ramos, pushed out No. 38-ranked Shikinoumi. No. 66-ranked Ryuo (4-2), or Wang Yu from Shanghai, China, forced out No. 71-ranked Araumi and No. 80-ranked Kasugaoh (5-1), or Kim Son-tek from South Korea, threw down No. 79-ranked Arashinobu. In jonokuchi, the lowest junior division, No. 12-ranked Kaihakusan (6-0), South Korean Baeg Yun-gi, drove out No. 3-ranked Ookatano.
