LAUSANNE, Switzerland (AP) -- Swimming's governing body FINA has approved the world short-course record for the 200-butterfly set by Australian Susan O'Neill.

O'Neill set the mark of 2 minutes 5.37 seconds on Feb. 17 in Malmo, Sweden. Her record supplants the old mark of 2:05.65 set by American Mary T. Meagher in 1981.
