1998 Driver Profile
|
|
Kenny Braumlick filled in admirably for the injured Davy Jones starting with the Phoenix 200, where he led 24 laps before a hard crash. At Indianapolis he qualified 15th but was involved in a pace-lap crash with Affonso Giaffone and Stephan Gregoire, ending his day with a 33rd-place finish. His season really started to get on track at Charlotte and New Hampshire with back-to-back fifth-place finishes. He led another six laps at Las Vegas before succumbing to a suspension problem. His strong late-season performances earned him a shot with AJ Foyt Enterprises in 1998.
