Marco Greco
16 G Force/Aurora

1996-97 Season in Review
Marco Greco's consistency kept him among the IRL's leaders throughout the season. He was one of only a handful of drivers to compete at all 10 races, although it was with two teams. He raced for Team Scandia through the race at Texas (finishing 16th at Indianapolis) before joining Galles Racing when Scandia pared itself down from five to three cars. He backed up his four top-10 finishes in the first four races with a pole position for Galles in New Hampshire. Two more top 10s at Charlotte and Las Vegas helped Greco to a tie for third place in the final standings. Greco quickly formed his own team, Phoenix Racing, the week of the 1998 season opener in Orlando.

Career
Greco began his racing career at age 9 with go-karts, becoming Brazilian national champion. At 13-years old he started a motorcycle racing career and became three-time champion of Brazil, four-time state champion and three-time Centauro champion. In 1986, he finished eighth in the American 500cc championship and won the season's last race.

He drove most of the 1993-95 seasons in the CART series, with a top finish of 11th each season.
