Jarrett makes move in final laps, cruises to third Daytona 500 win
Dale Jarrett hung around the leaders and made his move in the final four laps to win the Daytona 500 for the third time in his career. Jeff Burton finished second, followed by Bill Elliott, Rusty Wallace and Mark Martin. Johnny Benson, vying for an upset win in his Pontiac, held the lead until two late cautions allowed four Fords to work against him in the final laps.
