DAYTONA BEACH, Fla. (AP) -- NASCAR penalized three teams Wednesday for infractions at The Winston, including one by the crew of race winner Jimmie Johnson.

Chad Knaus, crew chief for Johnson's Chevrolet, was fined $1,000 for an unapproved air directional device that was found during prerace inspection.

Lee McCall, crew chief for Sterling Marlin's Dodge, was fined $10,000 for an improperly attached weight discovered during prequalifying inspection.

The engine of Dale Jarrett's team was confiscated by NASCAR because the team changed engines after the sanctioning body determined switching motors was not warranted.
