If Michael Waltrip isn't the most unlikely Daytona 500 winner, he certainly ranks at the top of the list. Waltrip's first win in 463 Winston Cup starts came Feb. 18 in the sport's biggest showcase. Since then, he has just two top-10 finishes.
In fact, entering this season Waltrip's best season points finish was 12th (1994 and '95). He finished 24th in 2001.
