Park hospitalized
DARLINGTON, S.C. -- Steve Park suffered a concussion, bruising to the left side of his neck and a possible fracture or dislocation of the left sterno-clavicular joint, but was otherwise in good health after a freak, caution-flag crash in the South Carolina 200 at Darlington Raceway on Saturday.

DARLINGTON, S.C. (AP) -- Jeff Burton won the South Carolina 200 Busch Series race by holding off Elton Sawyer over the final 10 laps at Darlington Raceway on Saturday.

Driver Steve Park was cut out of his car and airlifted to the hospital after a wreck under caution.

Park's car was running at approximately 45 mph behind the pace car on the backstretch when it veered suddenly to the left just after exiting turn 2.

Burton, who led 75 of the 147 laps, beat Sawyer to the finish line by about three car lengths to win at Darlington Raceway.

"It feels awfully good after the way we've struggled this year in our Winston Cup and Busch programs," Burton said. "It's awful good to come out and dominate like this. I'm not the easiest guy to work with, especially when things aren't going my way."

Mike McLaughlin finished third and was followed by pole-sitter Ryan Newman and Bobby Hamilton Jr.

Busch series points leader Kevin Harvick finished 14th, holding on to his 316-point lead on Jason Keller.
