  Dale Earnhardt Jr. (8)
Including his win at Dover three weeks ago, Earnhardt Jr. has three top-five finishes in his past four starts. He was fourth last week at Lowe's Motor Speedway. 
  Kevin Harvick (29)
Harvick, the Busch series points leader, has five top-10 finishes in his past six Winston Cup starts. He finished eighth last week at the UAW-GM Quality 500, improving his average finish to 13th. 
  Sterling Marlin (40)
Marlin's victory last week at Charlotte was his second of the year. It was also his third consecutive top-10 finish. Marlin is fourth in the standings, 434 points behind leader Jeff Gordon. 
  Tony Stewart (20)
Stewart finished second to Marlin last week in Charlotte. The effort resulted in his sixth consecutive top-10. In 29 starts this season, Stewart's average finish is 12th. 
  Rusty Wallace (2)
Wallace turned in the third top-10 finish in his past four starts last weekend when he finished seventh at the UAW-GM Quality 500 in Charlotte. Wallace has 14 top-10 finishes in 29 starts this season. 
Who's Not
  Johnny Benson (10)
Benson hasn't cracked the top 30 in any of his past three starts. He finished 36th last weekend in Charlotte, 37th two weeks ago at Kansas Speedway and 31st at Dover three weeks back. 
  Ricky Craven (32)
In his past three starts, Craven has finished no higher than 21st. He was 35th last weekend at Charlotte, dropping his average finish this season to 24th. 
  Terry Labonte (5)
Labonte has missed the top 25 in three of his past four starts. At Lowe's Motor Speedway last week, Labonte finished 27th for the second consecutive time. 
  Jason Leffler (01)
For the second time in his past four starts, Leffler finished 43rd on Sunday in Charlotte. The last time Leffler cracked the top 20 was a 19th-place finish at Michigan in August.  
  Elliott Sadler (21)
Sadler has four finishes out of the top 20 in his past five starts. A 37th-place effort last week in Charlotte moved him into a tie with Jerry Nadeau for 19th in the standings.
