Prospects
Jordan had to slash its workforce and restructure after losing sponsorship at a time of economic recession. Eddie Jordan says the team has emerged stronger, but it remains one of the more vulnerable teams in Formula One.
In Fisichella, Jordan has a driver generally rated among the top three on the grid. The Italian, still without a win, knows time is running out and is desperate to make the sort of impression that could win him a top ride next year.
Rookie Firman could take time to adjust to his new surroundings, but Jordan believes he has the necessary fighting spirit to make a name for himself.
Much will depend on the new Ford engines and the team's reliability after a season struggling with Honda last year. If all goes well, they should maintain their position.
