After leading the Huskies to the 1999 national championship, El Amin played briefly in the NBA for the Bulls (2000) and Heat. He then headed to Europe where he played for Strasbourg (France), Maccabi Ramat Gan (Israel) and Besiktas Istanbul (Turkey). He currently plays for Azovmash Mariupol of the Ukraine Superleague
