Nicknamed "Old 98" during his Michigan glory years, Harmon was the Wolverines' first Heisman-winner (1940). Drafted first overall by the Bears in 1941, he opted for an acting career and a stint in the Army Air Force. Son Mark (former UCLA quarterback) followed in both family businesses.
