2011
Ryan Nugent-Hopkins, C, Edmonton Oilers
There wasn't much doubt over who the Oilers would take with their second straight No. 1 overall pick. Again, they dipped into Canada. Again, they went for a teenager. Again, it was a forward. Edmonton took Ryan Nugent-Hopkins, 18, an efficient passing center who led the WHL with 75 assists last season. He'll team with LW Taylor Hall, last year's No. 1 pick, to make a formidable young attacking duo.
No. 2: Gabriel Landeskog, LW, Avalanche
Notable pick:
No. 15: Jonathan Miller, C, Rangers
