1972-73 76ers
9-73
The Nets neared the midway point of the 2009-2010 on pace to become the worst team in NBA history. That distinction currently belongs to the '72-73 Sixers. Denied star forward Billy Cunningham after a court ruled he was obligated to play in the ABA, Fred Carter (pictured) and the Sixers put together four separate losing streaks of at least 13 games while crafting the worst season in league history. Lacking in talent and savvy, the 76ers surrendered a league-worst 116.2 points per game.
