Stadium Openings | 1912

The famed home of the Red Sox hosted its first professional game. Boston beat the New York Highlanders (later known as the Yankees) 7-6 in 11 innings in front of 27,000 fans. On that same day, Tigers owner Frank Navin opened up Navin Field (which would become Tiger Stadium), with a capacity of 23,000.
