After transferring from Blinn College to Auburn in January 2010, Cam Newton won the starting quarterback job during spring practice. He had led Blinn College to the NJCAA national championship the previous season, but few knew what to expect when he made his debut against Arkansas State. Newton threw for 186 yards and three touchdowns and ran for 171 yards and two touchdowns during the 52-26 victory.
