After driving to Victory Lane at the third annual Brickyard 400 in 1996, Dale Jarrett grabbed his crew and headed for the thin strip of bricks at the finish line. They flipped their hats around, leaned down and laid a big ol' smooch on the one-yard strip of exposed bricks. In that instant, a tradition was born.
