With a record 40.2 million ballots cast overall for the 2012 All-Star Game, Texas outfielder Josh Hamilton drew a record amount of votes. This marked the fifth consecutive fan-elected start for Hamilton, as the slugger was among seven Rangers chosen as All-Stars.
