Kessy and Ross ascended while May-Treanor and Walsh were sidelined. They won the 2009 world championship, making them the biggest domestic threat to May-Treanor and Walsh over the last decade. Kessy and Ross are ranked No. 4 in the world and in the driver's seat for the second and final U.S. spot at the London Games.
