After setting the school record for passing yards by a freshman in 1998, Georgia quarterback Quincy Carter struggled somewhat in his sophomore season, suffering through two concussions and the Bulldogs' 7-4 finish. However, the season ended on a positive note, with Carter engineering the biggest comeback in bowl history, erasing a 25-0 deficit to Purdue to win the Outback Bowl 28-25.
