Maryland running back LaMont Jordan came into his own during the 1999 season, rushing for 1,632 yards on the season to become the Terrapins' rushing leader for the third straight year. Jordan rushed for a school record 306 yards in the final game of the season against Virginia, where the Terps' hopes for a winning season and a possible bowl bid were dashed by last-minute touchdown pass by Billy McMullen. Look for Jordan to possibly set the school's all-time rushing record Sept. 9 against Temple -- he needs a mere 91 yards to do it.
