Workin' for the Weekend
Defying the odds and sweltering conditions, co-leaders David Toms and Shingo Katayama found themselves ahead of the field for the first time at a major. Both players tamed the Highlands Course at Atlanta Athletic Club with record-tying 131s after two rounds. Phil Mickelson stayed in contention for his first major championship, shooting his second consecutive 66 and trailing the leaders by one shot. Meanwhile, Tiger Woods flirted with missing the cut before birdieing two of the final four holes. Click on the images for more from Friday’s second round action.
