Rushing to a Heisman

1980: George Rogers, South Carolina
Heisman-year stats: 297 carries, 1,781 yards (161.9 ypg), 14 TDs, 6.00 yards per carry

A three-time 1,000-yard rusher, Rogers led the Gamecocks to an 8-3 record and a Gator Bowl appearance in his senior season. He was later selected as the No. 1 overall pick by the Saints in the 1981 NFL Draft.
