Lance Armstrong

Armstrong has dominated men's cycling like none other, winning the Tour de France six consecutive times between 1999 and 2004. But his biggest challenge was overcoming testicular cancer, which doctors told him he only had a 50 percent chance of beating when it was diagnosed in 1996. He survived and started the Lance Armstrong Foundation, which has raised nearly $85 million to help improve the quality of life for those living with cancer.
