Despite passing for over 3,000 yards and 19 touchdowns on his way to the ’92 Heisman, Torretta was a forgotten man on draft day and didn’t hear his name called until the seventh round, when Minnesota selected him. He never played a down for the Vikings, or the Lions, 49ers or Colts, who all picked him up for insurance. In fact, he only threw 16 NFL passes, all while a member of the Seahawks in ’96, but did manage to throw for a touchdown … as well as an interception.
