Rafael Palmeiro, the only player in baseball history to post eight consecutive 38-homer seasons, is the second member of the 500-home run club born outside the U.S. (also Sammy Sosa). Palmeiro became the 19th member on May 11, 2003 with a three-run homer Cleveland's David Elder.
