As the sixth overall pick in the 1999 draft, Wally Szczerbiak easily made the transition from the college game to the pros, settling in as the Timberwolves' third scoring option, averaging 11.6 points per game. After a mid-season slump, Szczerbiak got his second wind and averaged 14.6 points on 51.1-percent shooting over the final 32 games. He was rewarded by being named to the NBA All-Rookie Team.
